When you join CrossRoads Financial Federal Credit Union, you're not a customer; you're a member.  We are a member owned not-for-profit financial cooperative.  Not-for-profit means that there are no outside investors and our Board of Directors volunteer their time and experience.  Members are shareholders, so we are able to return our earnings to you in the form of higher dividend rates on savings and lower rates on loans.

CrossRoads Financial Federal Credit Union is a member owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative dedicated to serving the needs of our members through affordable products and services.  Our credit union is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by and from its membership.  Our credit union is federally chartered and examined by National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).  NCUA examines credit union operations and insures member accounts up to $250,000.

Credit Unions are made up of people with a common bond.  People eligible to join CrossRoads are either employed at one of our 79 select employer groups throughout the area, through an immediate family member, or a member of their household.  When someone joins CrossRoads they open a share account/savings to establish their ownership of the credit union.  Members benefit from personal service, low or no cost products and services, and good rates on savings and loans.  At a credit union you're a member/owner, not a customer.

Credit Unions have changed over the years to meet members' changing needs. In contrast to constantly merging financial institutions, credit unions remain personal and people oriented.  They still believe in the motto
